Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off — Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
